The S&amp;P 500 lost\u00a0<\/span><span>1.62% and has moved down in four of the last six sessions. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite lost 1.98%. One of the worst performers was Tesla, which declined 3.8%. However, U.S. futures were up this morning after Europe and Asia delivered marginal gains.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>S&amp;P 500 futures<\/b><span> were up 0.76% this morning. The index lost 1.62% yesterday.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>In Europe,<\/b><span> the Stoxx 600 was up 0.68% in early trading and the U.K.\u2019s FTSE 100 was up 0.78% before lunch.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Asia: <\/b><span>South Korea\u2019s KOSPI was up 0.43%. Japan\u2019s Nikkei 225 was flat. India\u2019s Nifty 50 was down 0.15%. China\u2019s CSI 300 was down 0.55%.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Brent crude<\/b><span> was $92 per barrel this morning.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Bitcoin<\/b><span> was $62.8K.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Keeping the faith: <\/b><span>This morning, Goldman Sachs\u2019<\/span> <span>Ben Snider forecast that despite the volatility, the S&amp;P would end the year at 8,000 (it\u2019s currently 7,266.99). \u201cInvestors have dealt with uncertainty by anchoring on near-term earnings, and the outlook for earnings is solid,\u201d he told clients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Oracle debacle: <\/b><span>\u201cThere were also developments on the AI-capex front as well. Most notably, Oracle shares fell -10.25% in after-hours trading after they reported higher capex spending than estimated, adding to doubts about the profitability of AI infrastructure like data centers. Otherwise, the company also announced plans to raise another $40bn in equity and debt, including a previously disclosed plan to issue $20bn in shares,\u201d Deutsche Bank\u2019s Jim Reid said in an email this morning. The U.S. struck a selection of Iran\u2019s military and radar sites, <\/span><span>according to the BBC<\/span><span>, while Iran targeted U.S. bases in Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait. The price of oil remained at around $92 per barrel this morning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>President Trump complained<\/b><span> that Iran was taking too long to reach a peace agreement. \u201cIran is all talk and no action. \u2026 They\u2019ve taken too long to negotiate a deal that would have been great for them, now they will have to pay the price!!!\u201d <\/span><span>he posted on social media<\/span><span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Trump has said <\/b><span>that the end of the conflict is near 38 times since the start of the war on Feb. 28, <\/span><span>according to a count by The Mirror<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p><div><div><div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div><div><\/div><\/div>\n<p><b>The president also claimed<\/b><span> that U.S. naval forces, in a \u201csecret mission,\u201d had successfully escorted 200 ships through the Strait of Hormuz, and \u201cthis effort has resulted in more than 100 MILLION Barrels of Oil making its way through the Strait, and into the Open Market.\u201d <\/span><span>He added<\/span><span>: \u201cThis wildly successful effort is because the UNITED STATES of AMERICA CONTROLS the Strait of Hormuz \u2014 NOT Iran.
