{"id":479,"date":"2026-06-01T16:48:57","date_gmt":"2026-06-01T16:48:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/crosscountrymovingteams.com\/?p=479"},"modified":"2026-06-01T16:48:57","modified_gmt":"2026-06-01T16:48:57","slug":"jamie-dimon-slams-coinbase-ceo-as-full-of-sht-and-warns-banks-wont-accept-crypto-bill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/crosscountrymovingteams.com\/?p=479","title":{"rendered":"Jamie Dimon slams Coinbase CEO as \u2018full of sh*t\u2019 and warns banks won\u2019t accept crypto bill"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Dimon made it clear he would fight the bill, which recently advanced through the Senate Banking Committee, and said he wasn\u2019t afraid of its approval\u2014rather he wanted competition to be equal.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/crosscountrymovingteams.com\/?p=477\">Malaysia bans children under 16 from using social media<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re not worried, we think it should just be fair,\u201d Dimon told Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business. \u201cIf [Armstrong] takes deposits like a bank, he should have bank rules.\u201d<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Dimon went on to list those requirements: Social, litigation, liquidity, capital, legal, anti-money laundering, financial reporting, transparency, and so on: \u201cIf they want to be moving money around the world, on any basis, you should ask the question: \u2018Can that be used illegitimately easily?\u2019 And the answer would be yes, unless they follow the same rules.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Coinbase CEO Armstrong suggested the bill will benefit American consumers by making \u201cthe U.S. financial system faster, cheaper, and more accessible.\u201d In a post on X, the crypto boss added that the act will also ensure the U.S. is at the forefront of building the next generation of financial systems.<\/p>\n<p>The act has also garnered the support of White House advisors, as well as the likes of Senate Banking chairman Tim Scott, who said during a hearing for the bill that \u201cdevelopers, entrepreneurs and investors were left with uncertainty. They faced confusion and enforcement actions when, instead, the government should have been crafting clear rules of the road.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, Dimon suggested this wouldn\u2019t ease the concerns of small banks and credit unions: \u201cIt\u2019s not just the big guys,\u201d he added. \u201cWe\u2019ll fight it and if we lose, we lose, we\u2019ll live. But it will be fought. After Dimon\u2019s interview aired, he posted a doctored image on X, which shows him and Dimon in a <em>\u2018Heated Rivalry\u2019<\/em> poster\u2014a sports romance series that went viral earlier this year.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Coinbase has been approached for comment.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Wider opportunities<\/h2>\n<p>While Dimon has never been a fan of some cryptocurrencies (he famously referred to Bitcoin as a \u201cpet rock\u201d), that doesn\u2019t mean he, or J.P.
