And I don\u2019t in any way fault him for that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump has previously lashed out at Pirro, a longtime ally of the president, after her office said in a court filing that \u201cbotched\u201d construction work was primarily to blame for damage to the coating of the pool.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Trump has repeatedly blamed the damage on vandals, without providing evidence.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Asked whether he\u2019d promise that the Justice Department would always act independently of the White House, Blanche said, \u201cNo, I can\u2019t pledge that,\u201d arguing he can\u2019t obligate himself to oppose policy goals set by the president. Instead, Blanche said, he and federal prosecutors \u201cwill act with integrity.\u201d<\/p>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe will prosecute without fear or any sort of favor,\u201d he told NBC. Yes, of course,\u201d he said.
